Local performers on three stages of entertainment enhance the joyful mood of the art festival with a variety of uplifting music and dance performances through a diverse array of music and talent that is inclusive for all festival guests.
Amplified sound is carefully monitored to avoid disrupting nearby artists who are communicating with festival guests. The Entertainment Director and sound technician will work with each group to ensure volume levels stay within acceptable limits for the festival.
All performances must be G rated for family enjoyment. This does not mean that all acts must be designated for children, but that they are appropriate to be enjoyed by families with children.
Performance requests are considered on a first-come first-serve basis beginning on May 1st. Performances must meet the following criteria to be considered:

The Bo Diddley Plaza Stage offers a great showcase for larger ensembles of both musicians and dancers. Bands are fully supported with professional backline services and a Stage Manager/MC to help get them on stage to set up within the 20 minutes allotted in this festival setting. The set runs 40 minutes with a firm start and stop time. Efficiency is expected in taking and leaving the stage so that all performers will be able to start at their scheduled time.
The Acoustic Stage presents solos, duos and trios. Performers are supported by professional sound-reinforcement and a shady spot to sit or stand while playing or listening. A Stage Manager/MC will be on hand to help acts run on time and offer intros and outros. As set-ups are minimal on this stage, the sets are welcomed to begin a little earlier if ready, but will still adhere to the scheduled end time.
The Children’s Imagination Station Stage always presents age-appropriate acts, with some openings for children who wish to perform in a professional setting to enhance their musical performance skills. A Stage Manager/MC will be on hand to help with set-up and sound for the kid-friendly 20 minute sets.
A variety of Street Performers are scattered along the festival route. Performances range from acoustic musicians to wandering puppets. Performer placement is carefully designed to ensure a friendly distance from art booths and other performer areas.
