Meet the Poster Artist
Alfred Phillips is an acrylic painter based in Gainesville, FL. He paints using what he sees around him as reference in a style he calls Contemporary Realism mixing realism and sometimes abstract elements. He has earned 30+ Best In Show awards for exhibits in large and small venues including the prestigious Art Florida competition and, recently, the Winter Park Autumn Art Fair's top prize.
Artistic Adventures for Your Little Creators
Imagination Station
While visiting the Downtown Festival & Art Show, children can get creative at the Imagination Station: a free, hands-on art activity area. They can design masks, paint their own masterpieces, create puppets, sculpt clay, and draw with sidewalk chalk! The Imagination Stage includes puppet shows, magic acts, and music performances for kids.
